TownePlace Suites by Marriott Tampa Westshore/Airport has sold for $19.65 million, changing hands for the second time in less than three years as an Orlando-based buyer takes control of the 121-room hotel near Tampa International Airport.
YOLO Tampa Airport LLC bought the property at 5302 Avion Park Drive from Capitol Hospitality Inc. and Tampa Avion Holdings LLC, financing the acquisition with a $15.75 million loan from Banesco USA, or roughly 80% of the purchase price.
The sale comes less than three years after the hotel traded for $15.54 million in December 2023, putting its latest price about $4.1 million, or 26.4%, above the previous transaction.
Built in 2008, the four-story hotel sits on roughly 1.46 acres in Avion Park Westshore, north of Interstate 275 and west of Dale Mabry Highway, with 121 rooms across nearly 60,000 square feet and a location close enough to Tampa International Airport for Marriott to offer complimentary 24-hour airport shuttle service.
That location supports a property designed for both short and extended stays, with Marriott marketing TownePlace Suites as an all-suite hotel with an outdoor pool, fitness center, business center and on-site laundry, while describing the Westshore/Airport property as fully renovated.
