Bank of America has named Jeff Crabtree president of its Sarasota-Manatee market, putting the 15-year company veteran in charge of growing its business across two counties where it has more than 400 employees and 31 locations. He succeeds Stephenie Whitfield, who recently moved to Georgia for another role with the bank.
The new position adds to a job Crabtree already holds as a Consumer Banking region executive, leading teams across several parts of Florida after spending much of his career in Consumer Banking and Merchant Services. Already a member of the Sarasota-Manatee leadership team, he’ll now work across the bank’s eight lines of business to attract new customers and expand existing relationships throughout the two counties.
That business includes $143 million in small-business loans and another $246 million in commercial loans that Bank of America extended across Sarasota and Manatee counties during the second quarter of 2026. The bank has also contributed $3.4 million to local organizations since 2020, while its employees have volunteered more than 42,000 hours during that period.
Bank of America Chair and CEO Brian Moynihan pointed to Crabtree’s experience in announcing the appointment, saying the longtime executive would help the bank grow its presence in Sarasota and Manatee counties. “Jeff’s established leadership and experience will ensure we’re delivering on our responsible growth strategy,” Moynihan said.
Crabtree also volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America and supports employee development through several of the bank’s internal networks, work that accompanies his regional responsibilities and new Sarasota-Manatee presidency.
