Mike Evans Family Foundation launches ’13 Pillars of Strength’ campaign

The Mike Evans Family Foundation has launched the “13 Pillars of Strength” campaign to 13 people, throughout the Tampa Bay area, who have overcome adversity and made a difference in their communities.

Starting in September, the foundation will share a story about an individual who has made a difference spanning 13 weeks, meanwhile raising money for the charity, to be invested back into the Tampa Bay area, according to a statement.

The 13 individuals will be celebrated at the foundation’s first winter gala, being held at the Tampa Marriott Water Street on December 17, 2021.

The “pillars” will include community leaders, and people in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization, who have dedicated their time to better the Tampa Bay community.

“I’m excited to see who the community nominates to be part of 13 Pillars of Strength,” said Tampa Bay Buccaneers Wide Receiver, Mike Evans, who founded the Mike Evans Family Foundation with his wife, Ashli Evans, in 2017. “Tampa is full of strong, generous leaders so I’m sure it’ll be a tight race.”

The public is encouraged to nominate those who they feel have made a difference via the Foundation’s website.
