► An urban-style community of 630 apartments with, restaurants and shops, will be built on the abandoned Florida Tile site, located between Lake Wire and the upcoming Bonnet Springs Park. (Rendering above)

► Noah’s Ark of Central Florida announced Jim Maskas, Roxann Bonta, Todd Edwards, Linda Harkins and Susy Aviles as new members of the board of directors.

► Rooted Lakeland, a family-owned café, opened at 5327 S. Florida Ave., in the plaza that includes Outback Steakhouse.

► John “Lites” Leenhouts, president and CEO of Sun ‘n Fun, in Lakeland, will retire after Aerospace Expo 2022.

► Lakeland Regional Health’s graduate medical education program will welcome its first class of students in July 2023.

► Orlando Health, a nonprofit health care system, finalized plans to build a new hospital in Lakeland on 80 acres it owns there.
