Annual Paint Dunedin Purple fundraiser is expanding to Safety Harbor

For the third year in a row, the city of Dunedin will show support for the Alzheimer’s Association with its Paint Dunedin Purple” fundraising event and is expanding to include Safety Harbor.

The event, which invites local businesses to host their own fundraisers to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, will be held in conjunction with Safety Harbor’s monthly Third Friday event, on June 17.

The Dunedin fundraiser – scheduled for Saturday, June 4 – has raised more than $30,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association since its inception. More than 60 businesses are expected to participate in this year’s event, presented by Achieva Credit Union.

The Dunedin House of Beer will host a live band, for the Paint Dunedin Purple Music Fest, on June 5, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Proceeds of both cities’ events will support The Longest Day, an Alzheimer’s Association fundraiser that encourages participants to combat the darkness of Alzheimer’s through the activity of their choice.

Those looking to join in the fundraising efforts or make a donation can do so by visiting the Paint Dunedin Purple and Paint Safety Harbor Purple fundraising webpages.[image_slider_no_space on_click=”prettyphoto” height=”300″ images=”17545,17544,17543,17542,17541″]
