►Legoland Florida opened its latest attraction The LEGO Movie World in Winter Haven.

Kyle Vreeland, a real estate specialist at Coldwell Banker Commercial Saunders Ralston Dantzler Realty, listed and sold a vacant lot adjacent to a Chick-fil-A restaurant at 4625 S. Florida Ave., Lakeland. for $399,000, which Chick-fil-A will use to expand.

►Florida Polytechnic University’s administration and the United Faculty of Florida Poly chapter have signed a collective bargaining agreement, the first formal agreement between the university and the faculty union, which approved it unanimously.

►Centennial Holding Co., an Atlanta-based company, purchased a pair of apartment projects in the Interstate 4 corridor for a combined $72.6 million, including Century Ariva Apartments in Lakeland and Lakehouse Luxury Apartment Homes in Plant City, in Hillsborough County.

►Blackton, an Orlando-based supplier for the home building industry, was awarded a contract from D.R. Horton to provide flooring products worth an estimated $500,000 for Oak Grove West, being developed in Polk County.
