The Good Life

Planta South Beach
Nightlife and restaurant impresario David Grutman has brought an outpost of Toronto’s Planta to Miami Beach. Grutman, who is responsible for mega-nightclubs Liv and Story in South Beach and restaurants Komodo in Brickell and OTL in the Design District, says he and his wife liked how Planta’s plant-based cuisine did not mean sacrificing flavor or fun. The 200-seat Planta, 850 Commerce St., has a rooftop garden, an expansive dining room and outdoor areas.

Death or Glory in Delray
Annie Blake, Ayme Harrison, Isaac Grillo and April DeVona have combined their experiences in the cocktail industry to transform the nearly century-old Falcon House, 116 NE Sixth Ave., Delray Beach, into a spot that offers an elevated-yet-approachable and relaxing cocktail experience. There is a dedication to freshness, including orgeat syrups for the mai tais and coconut creams for piña coladas that are made in-house. A rotating menu of seasonal cocktails and food relies on fare from local producers.
