Great Places and Spaces: Cordova Inn breaks ground on expansion property (UPDATED RENDERINGS)

The Cordova Inn, at 253 2nd Ave. N., in downtown St. Petersburg, celebrated its groundbreaking. 

The new construction will be five stories tall and sits next to the original hotel. It will bring the Cordova Inn’s total rooms to 97, when complete. 

There are also plans for a restaurant on the first floor and a rooftop bar. 

New Hotel Collection, owner of the hotel, has already completed several upgrades to the property including adding The Scott, a hotel craft coffee and classic cocktail bar, and updates to the rooms.

New Hotel Collection also owns property within the Harbourside Resort, in Indian Rocks Beach, Beachside Resort, in Indian Shores, and Central Hotel, in Sevierville, Tennessee.

The expansion is expected to be complete by the end of 2024.
