The Good Life:  Penny Preville and Louis Vuitton

Jo-Lynn Brown February 13, 2024

Penny Preville Medallion Collection

It’s been almost forty-five years since Penny Preville launched her designer collection. Enchanted by jewelry from a young age, Preville loved playing with the pieces in her grandmother’s jewel box.

By the 1970s, she began her professional foray in jewelry with a collection of simple, beaded pieces accented with feathers. In just a few years, she was using precious materials and creating her signature new vintage looks. “I wanted to make jewelry that I could wear,” explains the designer. “Jewels that felt romantic but fit into a modern lifestyle.”

Preville has won numerous accolades for her work including the WJA Award for Excellence in Design and the Town & Country Couture Diamond Designer’s Excellence Award.

Penny Preville Medallion Collection, starting at $2,500, at International Diamond Center.
