St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital announces $50 million donation from the Pagidipati family

Jo-Lynn Brown April 10, 2024

Executives from BayCare and St. Joseph’s Children’s Foundation announced a substantial donation to St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital.

The Pagidipati family donated $50 million to the Tampa-based health care provider, which is the largest publicly recorded gift to a hospital in Tampa Bay and one of the largest gifts to health care in Florida, according to BayCare. The funds will be used to build a new freestanding children’s hospital, in Tampa, announced Stephanie Conners, president and chief executive officer of BayCare Health System.

The $50 million donation is in honor of Pagidipati’s parent’s 50th wedding anniversary, while the family is also celebrating 50 years of living in the United States.
