Plans shared for a high-end private club in downtown Tampa

A new high-end, private club called The Elliott is being planned for downtown Tampa.

The member-only club will be located at 500 E. Kennedy Blvd, in a building designed in 1921 by M. Leo Elliott, a well-known Tampa architect who designed Tampa landmarks like Tampa City Hall, The Italian Club and the Cuban Club.

“We’re delighted to unveil our vision for The Elliott, honoring Tampa’s rich history and the influential figure who shaped our city with his remarkable architectural talent,” said co-developers Courtney and Jason Kuhn, of Kuhn Automotive Group. “We will release more exciting information in the near future including details about our internationally acclaimed culinary and hospitality partners and about the extraordinarily talented, world-class design team with whom we have partnered.”

Planned amenities at the Elliott will include several bars, a jazz lounge, a wellness center, a luxurious spa featuring a sauna, cold, steam and treatment rooms, a rooftop garden terrace, a cigar room and event space. A racquet program is also in the works.

Construction on the club is expected to begin this summer. Developers of The Elliott are targeting an opening in 2026.
