Mast Capital secures $72.5 million loan for Saddlebrook Resort transformation (PHOTOS)

Mast Capital, alongside Amzak Capital Management, has secured $72.5 million in financing from Beach Point Capital Management to advance the $92 million renovation of Saddlebrook Resort, in Wesley Chapel.

The resort recently unveiled plans for a 13-acre driving range, designed by renowned golf architect Rees Jones. The range features double-sided tees, TifEagle bermudagrass putting greens and three short-game areas. The broader golf renovation plans include transforming the resort’s two 18-hole courses into three, interchangeable, nine-hole layouts, set to debut in 2025.

“This financing underscores our commitment to reestablishing Saddlebrook as a world-class destination,” said Jordan Kornberg, chief investment officer at Mast Capital.

Additional upgrades include redesigned guest suites, revamped event spaces, capable of hosting up to 1,400 guests, and elevated dining and lifestyle amenities. The resort’s tennis program, which has trained stars like Jim Courier and Andy Roddick, is also set to benefit from enhanced facilities.
