Wisconsin-based LaForce, a national supplier of commercial door products and security services, signed an agreement to acquire Tampa-based GSA Security, a low-voltage electrical contractor specializing in security and cabling solutions.

Bryan Hodgson was introduced as the new head men’s basketball coach at the University of South Florida, in Tampa. 

The 65-acre former HSN campus, in north St. Petersburg, was listed following Qurate Retail Group’s decision to shutter operations and cut 730 jobs, amid a consolidation to Pennsylvania.

Tampa Marriott Water Street celebrated its 25th anniversary with special events, giveaways and nostalgic experiences, marking its longstanding role in Tampa’s hospitality scene and continued evolution, since opening in 2000.

Tampa General Hospital has recruited Dr. Megan Melody, a hematologist-oncologist specializing in blood cancers and cellular therapy, to its Cancer Institute Cellular Therapy team as it expands advanced treatments like CAR T-cell therapy.

TD Bank has named Jose Diaz as vice president of commercial banking for the Greater Tampa Bay region, based at the bank’s office on West Kennedy Boulevard, in Tampa.

Tampa-based Advantive expanded its international B2B eCommerce offerings with the acquisition of Australia-based Commerce Vision, strengthening its presence in industries such as dental, food service, and PPE and safety.

Tampa-based RNR Tire Express promoted Susan Vice to vice president of finance, where she will oversee accounting operations and support the brand’s national expansion efforts.


The University of Tampa’s Lowth Entrepreneurship Center honored LCG co-founders Paul Epstein and Brian Smith, with the 2025 Innovator Award, and CapStar Real Estate co-broker Jake Schmidt, with the 2025 Young Entrepreneur Award, during its 12th annual Alumni Awards.

Tampa-based Shumaker partner Mike Dockins, known as the “Gimmick Attorney,” has been appointed to the board of directors of the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame, recognizing his legal work protecting intellectual property for professional wrestlers.


 Merchants Bank, based in Carmel, Indiana, named Gavin Nelson as client deposit services sales officer for the Tampa Bay region, focusing on expanding deposit relationships with homeowners’ associations, investment advisors and family offices.

Moffitt Cancer Center, in Tampa, received the 2024 Press Ganey Pinnacle of Excellence and Guardian of Excellence Awards, recognizing its top-ranking performance in patient and consumer experience.

OneDigital has opened a new Tampa office, at 4200 W Cypress St., Suite 800, in the Meridian One building. 

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa has named Lu Tsai vice president of Asian player development, bringing more than 25 years of global gaming and hospitality experience, to lead strategic growth initiatives within Asian communities.
