Robert Hessel built Source 1 Solutions from a $5,000 startup into a global IT services provider operating in 118 countries. A U.S. Navy veteran and fourth-generation servicemember, he leads with a people-first mindset, even during crises, such as in March 2020, when every employee received a surprise pizza and six-pack with a message: “You are safe here.”
Hessel’s proudest moments aren’t just about reach but culture, as his company has been named one of Inc.’s Best Workplaces four times. He gives back through the Hessel Family Foundation, supporting veterans and autism programs, and co-created the Heroes Hangout Initiative for military families.
