Meals On Wheels of Tampa
Stephen King has led Meals On Wheels of Tampa for nearly 20 years, guiding the nonprofit through a period of remarkable growth and resilience. Under his leadership, MOW now delivers fresh meals to 1,000 homes daily, 365 days a year, with compassion, dignity and care.
He says that one of his proudest moments has been when MOW opened a debt-free, state-of-the-art kitchen and facility in 2020, enabling the organization to expand medically tailored meal programs and serve more seniors in need.
King credits a devoted volunteer network, staff innovation and community generosity for weathering challenges like COVID-19. A nonprofit leader and ordained pastor, he plans to retire in 2025, leaving behind a legacy of nourishment, safety and human connection for Tampa’s most vulnerable residents.
