Offshore racing company names Tim Ramsberger president and CEO of U.S. operations

Powerboat P1 Management, an international marine motorsport promoter headquartered in the United Kingdom, named Tim Ramsberger president and chief executive officer of its United States operation.

Ramsberger previously was the chief operating officer at Visit St. Pete/Clearwater.

In his new role, he will be based in Florida and will move into his new position immediately, according to a statement.

Powerboat P1 Management’s CEO, Azam Rangoonwala, will continue in his global role at the London office and become chairman of Powerboat P1 USA.

Ramsberger has more than three decades of executive business, legal, sports management and tourism experience for global organizations like Disney Sports, FIFA World Cup, Olympic Organizing Committee and Andretti Sports Marketing and Indy Car.

P1 Motorsport Races hosted the St. Pete Powerboat Grand Prix during Labor Day weekend.
