American Cancer Society to host Fourth Annual Tampa Golf Classic

The American Cancer Society will host the fourth annual Tampa Golf Classic, on November 7, at Avila Golf and Country Club.

All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Hope Lodge – Tampa.

The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge provides free, temporary, lodging for cancer patients receiving treatment away from home.

In 2019, Hope Lodge in Tampa provided 12,885 nights of free lodging for 516 patients, and caregivers, reducing their financial burden by an estimated $1.2 million, according to a statement.

The Tampa Golf Classic will feature local celebrity golfers, a cocktail reception, an awards dinner and silent auction.
