Inauguration of USF President Rhea Law set for January 19

The inauguration of Rhea Law, as the University of South Florida’s eighth president, will take place on Thursday, January 19.

USF students, faculty, staff, alumni and residents in the Tampa Bay community are invited to participate in the day’s activities.

The highlight of the inauguration is an investiture ceremony, scheduled for 1 p.m. in the Yuengling Center, on the Tampa campus. The investiture is a formal academic program that allows the new president to address the university community and share her vision for the institution moving forward.

At the conclusion of the investiture ceremony, a university-wide inauguration reception will take place at the new Porter Family Indoor Performance Facility. The event is free and open to the public.

Law was officially confirmed as president by the Florida Board of Governors in March 2022.
