South Tampa Chamber honors members at annual gala

The South Tampa Chamber hosted their Annual Meeting and Awards Gala at Steinbrenner Field, in Tampa, and honored five of its members.

“A strong chamber helps to create a stronger community and, of course, the chamber would not be able to lead in so many areas without the commitment of our members and volunteer leaders,” said Kelly Flannery, president and chief executive officer of the chamber.

2023 South Tampa Chamber Award Recipients included:

Member of the Year: Cassandra D’Addio, The Family Dentist

Impact Award: Zahira Lehri, 2 Fish International

Volunteer of the Year: Simeon Hill, Edward Jones Investments

Ambassador of the Year: Tanya Cielo, Sky Strategic Marketing

Chairmans Award: Chris Bentley, Johnson Jackson

Connie Gage, a real estate specialist with Smith & Associates Real Estate, was named the 2023 Citizen of the Year.

In the past year, the chamber added more than 130 new members, hosted nearly 100 events and participated in 30 ribbon cuttings to celebrate new businesses.

“We have increased our advocacy efforts, provided educational opportunities to grow your business, continued to be a one-stop resource and launched a new, young professionals program,” said the Chamber’s 2022 Chair of the Board, Rebekah Nault. “This is just a snap-shot of all that the chamber has achieved this past year.”
