USF receives $1 million gift to provide St. Petersburg campus students with scholarships

The University of South Florida received a $1 million gift to provide scholarships to students on the St. Petersburg campus.

The gift was made by Tampa Bay area resident Johnnie Giffin, who established a new USF Women in Leadership & Philanthropy scholarship, last year, with a $26,000 gift to the USF Foundation.

The announcement of this gift comes one week before USF Giving Week, an annual event that brings alumni and friends together to raise funds for a wide variety of programs, including student scholarships.
