St. Pete-Clearwater is among three new Florida destinations set to be included in the MICHELIN Guide’s 2025 restaurant selection, marking a significant milestone for the region’s culinary scene.
The expansion also adds Greater Fort Lauderdale and The Palm Beaches to the guide, which first came to Florida in 2022 with Miami, Orlando and Tampa. By 2026, the selection will cover the entire state.
“Florida continues to raise the bar with its emerging culinary talent,” said Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the MICHELIN Guides. “We look forward to exploring these new destinations and highlighting their excellence.”
The MICHELIN Guide’s anonymous inspectors are already evaluating restaurants in the newly added regions. The full 2025 selection will be announced later this year.
The MICHELIN Guide evaluates restaurants based on five criteria: quality of ingredients, harmony of flavors, mastery of techniques, the chef’s personal expression and consistency.
