Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful has named Kristina Moreta as its executive director.
Moreta, a longtime advocate for environmental sustainability, steps into the role with experience in leadership, fundraising and environmental education. She previously served as the organization’s development director, where she played a key role in securing funding for programs and strengthening community partnerships.
“Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful and its volunteers have been a part of my life for many years, and I am deeply dedicated to our mission of creating a cleaner, greener community,” Moreta said in a statement. “I look forward to expanding our outreach, strengthening our sustainability initiatives and building even more partnerships across Tampa Bay.”
Moreta has outlined plans to expand community outreach efforts, enhance sustainability programs and increase engagement with businesses, schools and local governments. She aims to build on the organization’s existing initiatives including community cleanups, tree planting and the Adopt-A-Road program, while introducing new educational workshops and youth engagement activities.
With more than 17 years of experience in environmental advocacy, including seven years as an agriculture educator in Hillsborough County, Moreta has been instrumental in advancing Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful’s mission.
