Val Marks retires after over a decade of impact at MTA

Allan Morris appointed as new CEO, ushering in the next chapter of growth and innovation.

After nearly 12 years of leadership at Medical Technology Associates, Val Marks is stepping into a new chapter. Known not only for her sharp business acumen but also for her generous spirit and quiet confidence, Marks has announced her retirement as chief executive officer of MTA, capping a tenure marked by extraordinary transformation and heart.

Under Marks’ leadership, MTA grew by nearly 2,000%, completed nine strategic acquisitions and emerged as a national leader in testing, inspection, certification and maintenance services for health care and life sciences facilities.

“Leading this team and the growth of MTA has been one of the great privileges of my life,” says Marks. “Our focus on service excellence has driven strong customer loyalty and growth. I’m proud of what we’ve built together and confident that MTA’s future is in great hands.”

Marks is not stepping away entirely. She will continue to support the company as chairman of the board, while also deepening her involvement in corporate boards and community mentorship, she says.

Her successor, Allan Morris, steps into the CEO role with more than two decades of experience in medical gases, biomedical services and specialty chemicals.

“I’m honored to join MTA at such an exciting time in its journey,” said Morris. “The company has built an impressive legacy, and I look forward to working alongside this exceptional team to further strengthen our leading market position, expand our capabilities, and continue delivering mission-critical solutions that support healthcare safety and performance.”
