Citizens Financial Group is expanding its private wealth business into Tampa, recruiting two local advisers whose clients at their previous institution held more than $1 billion in assets.
Chris MacLellan and Katie Bickle have joined Citizens Private Wealth as MacLellan Bickle Wealth Partners, extending a national hiring push that has added 12 teams since 2024. Those teams previously oversaw about $12 billion in client assets, according to Citizens.
MacLellan Bickle Wealth Partners is based at 4211 W. Boy Scout Blvd., giving Citizens a private wealth operation in a market where the bank already has a commercial banking office.
Elsewhere in Florida, Citizens has private wealth teams in Boca Raton and Naples and private banking offices in Palm Beach and West Palm Beach. Providence, Rhode Island-based Citizens Financial Group had $233.8 billion in assets as of June 30.
MacLellan will focus primarily on investment management, while Bickle, who has a background in trust and estate law, will lead relationship management and financial planning for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
