Rooftop bar coming to Midtown Tampa

Sal Y Mar Rooftop Bar, a rooftop lounge, is coming to the dual-branded Aloft and Element Hotel opening in Midtown Tampa January 2021.

The bar, which will have 360-degree views of the Tampa, Westshore and St. Petersburg skylines, was inspired by the Riviera Maya town of Tulum.

Sal Y Mar will be accessible from a dedicated elevator on the hotel’s ground floor, the rooftop lounge and will have 4,900 square feet of indoor and outdoor seating, including a covered terrace and drink rails lining the perimeter, according to a statement.

The menu at Sal Y Mar will have a collection of tapas, like Citrus Crab Cakes and Vegetable Bruschetta, and Spanish dishes like Carne Asada Street Tacos and Pan Seared Scallops with mango puree, plantain crisp and Pico de Gallo.
