Big Storm Brewing, in Clearwater, purchased Bradenton-based Darwin Brewing.

Chef Fabio Viviani plans to open his latest restaurant, a “coastal Italian” restaurant and bar, Taverna Costale, at 200 Central Ave., in St. Petersburg.

Austin Karrick, CPR industrial specialist, represented the Industrial Leasing Corp., in the sale of a 15,300-square-foot industrial building, at 3131 Morris St. N., in St. Petersburg, for the full asking price of $1.2 million to Vetted Security Solutions.

Eckerd College president Damián J. Fernández was appointed to the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges Council of Presidents.

Colorado-based Avanti Residential acquired the Artistry St. Pete apartment complex, at 1601 Central Ave., in a $92.35 million deal.
