Porter Smith serves as Tampa Bay market president for American Momentum Bank, a community bank with total assets of more than $1.7 billion. With more than 15 years’ experience in commercial banking, Smith leads the growth of the bank in the Tampa Bay area. He serves commercial business clients and real estate developers out of the Tampa corporate office, with a focus on West Central Florida.
Smith represents American Momentum on the board of First Housing Corporation, a low-income housing financing and servicing corporation, and serves as a trustee of Radiant Church in Tampa.

- What is your go-to drink order? The Balvenie, 15-year, with an ice cube.

- Do you suffer from Primenesia (the act of ordering from Amazon and forgetting about it)? I actually suffer from sitting at the window waiting for the delivery to arrive.
- Pool or beach? Beach, then rinse in the pool, but the pool is crucial.
- Charity you support? Our local church, primarily, but always faith-based organizations.
- Favorite childhood memory? Any day that started with me on a driving range or putting green and ended with me in the same place, practicing and competing.
- Words of advice? Real-life change happens in the context of relationships … for better or worse. Choose carefully a few great people who you surround yourself with, and then pour your life into them.
