► Purify: An Urban Sweat Lodge, founded and first opened on South Pineapple Avenue in Sarasota in 2018 by Samantha Albano, opened a location in Little Falls, New Jersey.

► Toasted Yolk, a breakfast, lunch and brunch concept, has taken the place of the former Tampa-based Irish 31 pub at 3750 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. 

► A master-planned community in Sarasota County recently announced Justin Powell was promoted to president of Palmer Ranch Holdings Ltd., in Sarasota. 

► The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature recently named Andrew Sandall as chief executive officer.  

► Detwiler’s Farm Market, a family-owned grocery story, plans to open a new store at 53rd Avenue West in Bradenton, later this year. 

► Morris “Marty” Hylton III has been named president of Architecture Sarasota. 

► Frank Hall has been tapped to serve as regional president of community banking at Cadence Bank (NYSE: CADE) and will oversee all banking locations from Pensacola to Sarasota.

► WUSF Public Media and the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation announced the hiring of Eric Garwood as executive editor to oversee an independent journalism collaboration that will expand coverage of news in Sarasota, Manatee and DeSoto counties.

► The University of South Florida began construction on its $42 million housing and student center at its Sarasota-Manatee campus.

► Longtime Bealls Inc. employee and executive Tianne Doyle has been named president of the Bradenton-based retailer. 

► Hancock Whitney Bank donated $25,000 to Manatee County Habitat for Humanity. 

► Nathan Benderson Park Conservancy, in Sarasota, named Bruce Patneaude, a former IMG Academy executive, as its chief executive officer and chief operating officer.
