ROOST Tampa combines the boutique hotel experience with the comfort of an apartment (PHOTOS)

There is nothing quite like an exceptional hotel experience, including amenities such as a fitness center and pool. While hotels can offer attractive temporary living space for business trips, or vacations, they often lack the ability to provide the comforts of home.

Combining the service, and amenities, of a boutique hotel with the comfort of an apartment is not an easy achievement but is exactly what Philadelphia-based Method Co. has set out to do with its ROOST, an extended stay hotel concept.

In July of 2022, Method Co. introduced its ROOST concept to the Tampa Bay community with the opening of ROOST Tampa, located within Tampa’s Water Street district.

“The live-work-play district has completely transformed downtown Tampa and is making the city one of the most desirable places to live in the country. It’s a change that we’re excited to be a part of,” says Randall Cook, chief executive officer and co-founder of Method Co.

ROOST Tampa is perhaps Method Co.’s most unique, and innovative, project to date. Cook has called it a “special adaptation of ROOST” as it is the first ROOST hotel to include co-living spaces and Method Co.’s lifestyle services. It is the largest ROOST apartment hotel to date and the first in Florida.

ROOST Tampa, which occupies six floors of Asher Tower, is comprised of 97 units. These include studio one-bedroom and two-bedroom units, as well as co-living spaces (which offer four- or eight-bedroom units). Every ROOST Tampa unit includes a full-size kitchen, walk-in rainfall shower and modern appliances. ROOST Tampa’s two co-living units also offer guests a living room and a washer and dryer.

ROOST Tampa not only offers attractive living space but impressive amenities including a large rooftop pool deck, with cabanas, grills and an outdoor bar. The apartment hotel also features an indoor movie room, a fitness center and a lawn for events and gatherings.

Method Co.’s lifestyle services only further the guest experience. According to Cook, ROOST Tampa is the “first location where we are overseeing and activating a multi-faceted amenity program. Offerings include a variety of culinary, social, fitness and wellness program options such as group fitness classes, culinary events, outdoor movie screenings on the lawn, DJs on the pool deck and more.”

ROOST guests can enjoy a 24-hour concierge service, complimentary Wi-Fi, Apple TVs and weekly housekeeping (daily upon request). One of the greatest benefits of ROOST Tampa is that guests can stay as long as they would like to. From a short vacation to staying for weeks, or months, at a time, Method Co. wants its guests to feel at home.

ROOST Tampa is Method Co.’s fifth ROOST apartment hotel and second to be outside of Philadelphia. Since ROOST Tampa’s opening, Method Co. has expanded the ROOST concept to the Detroit and Baltimore markets. The company additionally plans to open a location in Charleston soon.

Method Co. believes ROOST Tampa is a unique offering for the Tampa community. Individuals who want to plan an extended stay in Tampa now have access to an apartment hotel that can meet their needs and provide comfortability and quality service.
