► Wisconsin-based Menard, which owns more than 300 Menards stores across 15 states, closed on the agricultural land in Myakka City, paying $10.3 million. 

► The Sarasota Orchestra completed the $14 million purchase from Wal-Mart Stores of a vacant 32-acre site, at 5701 Fruitville Road. 

► Timothy J. Rudge has joined Shumaker’s litigation and disputes service line as a senior lawyer in the firm’s Sarasota office. 

► Trader Joe’s plans to open at 8473 Cooper Creek Blvd., Bradenton. 

► Midflorida Credit Union opened at 1320 Cortez Rd., Bradenton. 

► Sarasota-based health care startup Omeza Holdings named Cynthia Flowers as chief executive officer and president. 

► Sprouts Farmers Market plans to open in the One Main Plaza development currently under construction in Sarasota. 

► Steve Horn and Jag Grewal, of Ian Black Real Estate represented Capstone Group Holdings, and Ringling and Orange 3 in the sale of seven properties, in downtown Sarasota, for $32 million.

► Coca-Cola Beverages Florida promoted Theodore “Teddy” Mejeur to Sarasota territory general manager. 

► Kimberly Evener, director of client services for Forza Wealth Management, in Sarasota, was awarded the certified trust and fiduciary adviser professional certification from the American Bankers Association. 

► Sarasota-based hydraulic cartridge valve manufacturer Helios Technologies obtained a $150 million loan from PNC Capital Markets.

► Virginia-based development company Orange Pineapple bought seven parcels, totaling approximately 3.1 acres, near the intersection of Ringling Boulevard and Orange Avenue, in downtown Sarasota, for $32 million. 

► RE/MAX Platinum Realty plans to expand to Siesta Key with the opening of a new office, at 6633 Midnight Pass Road, Sarasota.
