The National Retail Federation recognized Lisa Schalk, co-founder of Tampa-based Toffee to Go, as “America’s Retail Champion.”
The NRF program honors small retailers, from across the country, who speak out on public policy debates affecting the retail industry at the national, state and local levels.
Retailers were nominated by state retail associations and their peers, based on engagement in
public policy discussions.
Toffee to Go earned national attention in 2013, when it was listed as one of Oprah’s Favorite Things in O, The Oprah Magazine.
