Chris Moyer begins chair term of CEO Council of Tampa Bay amid career milestone

Jo-Lynn Brown March 9, 2025

Chris Moyer, former founder, president and chief executive officer of SME Solutions Group, has officially begun his term as chair of the CEO Council of Tampa Bay. With a track record of fostering innovation and driving growth, Moyer is now applying his leadership to the region’s exclusive network of CEOs, entrepreneurs and executive leaders.

“I am honored to lead the CEO Council into 2025 and look forward to building upon our strong foundation to foster growth and innovation within our business community,” says Moyer.

Moyer takes over from Todd Hall, CEO of Talent Cloud Staffing, who now serves as the immediate past chair. Under Hall’s leadership, the council experienced substantial growth in 2024, welcoming 32 new members, launching a membership app and debuting its first-ever merchandise store. These initiatives set the stage for Moyer’s vision to elevate the organization even further.

“These accomplishments were made possible by the exceptional leadership of our 2024 chairman, Todd Hall, and our dedicated board of directors,” says Alyssa Rhoads, executive director of the CEO Council. “As we look ahead to 2025, under the guidance of our new chairman, Chris Moyer, we are excited to build on this momentum with innovative programs, impactful workshops and an extraordinary Pinnacle speaker. The future of the CEO Council has never been brighter.”

Moyer’s appointment coincides with a major career milestone: the acquisition of SME Solutions Group by Blue Mantis, a technology services firm headquartered in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, with offices in Tampa. As part of this transition, Moyer has been named vice president of the data enablement and analytics practice at Blue Mantis.

“Joining forces with Blue Mantis presents a significant market opportunity to expand our reach and enhance our overall technology service offerings,” Moyer says.

This professional evolution underscores Moyer’s ability to navigate growth and adaptation in an evolving business landscape—qualities that he brings to his leadership at the CEO Council. His focus for 2025 includes expanding the council’s reach and impact through new initiatives that foster collaboration, share insights and strengthen the region’s business ecosystem. The council is set to host a series of workshops, networking events and the much-anticipated Pinnacle speaker series, featuring nationally recognized leaders.

As Moyer embarks on his term, he is committed to creating an environment where members can thrive. “The CEO Council is a catalyst for business excellence, and I’m excited to build on its legacy by fostering an even stronger, more connected executive community,” he says.
