  • French pool architect to acquire Largo’s Pool Perfection

French pool architect to acquire Largo’s Pool Perfection

Jo-Lynn Brown July 31, 2025

Pool Perfection, a custom pool-building company known for its fast build times and streamlined processes, is preparing for a change in leadership as chief executive officer Shai Egosi readies to sell the business he transformed.

Based in France, Clair Lagon is the purchaser.

Egosi, who took over the struggling company in 2018 after initially extending a loan to the former owner, is in the final stages of a private sale. The new ownership has not yet been publicly disclosed but the transaction marks the culmination of Egosi’s years-long effort to turn Pool Perfection into one of Tampa Bay’s most trusted names in residential pool construction.

“When we took it over, the company was on the brink of collapse. It lacked structure and needed a cultural reset,” Egosi said. “But I made a promise to those customers—we were going to finish their pools. No matter what.”

With no background in construction, Egosi leaned on his software and operations expertise to modernize the business. He digitized workflows, introduced custom project-tracking systems and implemented a culture of real-time customer feedback that helped Pool Perfection earn consistent five-star reviews and reduce build times to just six to eight weeks—well below industry norms.

Egosi also credits much of the company’s success to the team behind Pool Perfection. “It’s a team built on accountability, transparency and customer focus,” he says.

The company currently manages over 60 active projects at any given time.

Kimberly Jenkins, CEO of Clair Lagon USA, says the acquisition marks an exciting new chapter for both companies. “Pool Perfection has built a strong reputation for quality and customer satisfaction in pool construction. We’re proud to continue that legacy under the Clair Lagon brand.” Jenkins also shared that, with the expansion, the company has plans for a new product line of signature swimming lagoons.

Egosi said the decision to sell was always part of the plan.

“I never intended to be in this business long-term,” he said. “I came in to stabilize it, innovate it and eventually exit.”

The sale will allow Egosi to focus full time on scaling the proprietary software he developed internally, tools he believes can benefit pool and construction companies nationwide.

“This has always been about creating something bigger than myself,” he said. “Now it’s time to let someone else take the reins and grow it even further.”

Pool Perfection is based in Largo and serves homeowners throughout the Tampa Bay region.
