A proposal to add a 120-room hotel, roughly 28,000 square feet of retail space and a drive-thru bank to the Park Place site along U.S. Highway 19 goes to a final vote April 21 in Pinellas Park.
Park Place has long operated as a regional shopping center but has seen vacancies and shifting tenancy in recent years. The revised plan would replace the current development framework and allow new uses, including the proposed hotel, retail and bank.

The amendment would update the master plan for the 66.6-acre property at 7200 U.S. 19 North, setting the terms for redevelopment.

The application was filed by Northside Engineering and reviewed by city staff, which found it consistent with Pinellas Park’s comprehensive plan. If approved, the plan would define site layout and permitted uses as redevelopment moves forward, though specific tenants and construction timelines have not been announced.
The property sits along a heavily traveled stretch of U.S. 19 and represents one of the larger redevelopment opportunities in Pinellas Park, where older retail centers along the corridor are being repositioned as vacancy rises and tenant demand changes.
