The Back Nine Golf has filed plans for a South Tampa location, converting a warehouse on West Shore Boulevard into an indoor golf simulator venue.
The project calls for a 4,300-square-foot buildout at 5110 S. West Shore Blvd., with four simulator bays and a lounge area. The work includes an interior renovation and a change of use from warehouse to indoor recreation.

The existing building totals 4,320 square feet and was constructed in 1994 as a warehouse, according to property records.

The property is in South Tampa’s Westshore District, which has seen residential and employment growth in recent years. The district has more than 100,000 workers and about 15,000 residents, according to data from the Westshore Alliance.
The concept is part of a broader rise in indoor, simulator-based golf venues, which have expanded rapidly in recent years as players seek shorter, weather-independent formats.
The Back Nine operates indoor golf venues built around simulator play, where customers can book time or purchase memberships to practice, play courses and host events. The company has existing locations in Oldsmar and Carrollwood.
The permit application is under review by the City of Tampa. Details on the opening timeline, pricing and any food or beverage offerings were not disclosed.
