Einstein Bros. adds two Tampa Bay-area locations

Einstein Bros. Bagels has opened a bakery in Lakeland and plans to open another in Land O’ Lakes later this month, bringing the chain to about 20 locations across the Tampa Bay region.

The company recently opened a location at 2928 Florida Ave. S. in Lakeland and plans to open a second location at 22402 Catfish Lake Lane in Land O’ Lakes. Together, the two stores are expected to create about 25 jobs, according to the company.

The expansion adds to Einstein Bros.’ presence in a region where the brand already operates multiple locations. Nationwide, the chain has more than 700 stores and is part of Panera Brands, whose portfolio also includes Panera Bread and Caribou Coffee.

“This region has made it clear there’s more ground to cover,” Adam Modzel, chief operating officer of Einstein Bros. Bagels, said in a statement. “We plan to continue expanding and bringing our fresh-out-of-the-oven bagels to more Tampa communities.”

Both locations will operate daily from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and include indoor seating. The stores feature the company’s newest design, with updated interiors, a redesigned bagel display and dedicated space for mobile-order pickup. They will also offer catering for businesses, meetings and events.

The company did not disclose its investment in the locations or whether additional Tampa Bay-area stores are planned.
