Five homebuilders have acquired the first 667 homesites at Verona, moving the planned 2,500-home community along State Road 52 in Pasco County into its construction phase.
The land sales follow Eisenhower Property Group’s acquisition of the property earlier this year and represent the first residential builder closings at the development. Home sales are expected to begin in late 2027.

Homes by WestBay acquired 174 homesites, David Weekley Homes purchased 152, Mattamy Homes acquired 145, Pulte Homes purchased 102 and Highland Homes acquired 94. Eisenhower Property Group said it expects to announce additional builders later this year.
The project will also include more than 850 homes from Explore by Del Webb, a brand that offers Del Webb-style amenities without an age restriction. Combined with the latest builder sales, Verona continues to assemble the roster of builders for the community’s first phase.

Verona is planned west of Interstate 75 along State Road 52, a corridor that has become one of Pasco County’s largest areas for residential development. The community is expected to include about 2,500 homes at buildout.
Jeffery Hills, president and chief executive officer of Eisenhower Property Group, said the builder closings allow the company to begin delivering the community as planned.
“These builder closings represent an important step in bringing the vision for Verona to life,” Hills said in a statement. “Together, we’re creating a thoughtfully designed community that will offer exceptional homes, amenities and quality of life for future residents.”
Homes by WestBay Chief Executive Officer Willy Nunn said Verona will expand the company’s presence in Pasco County, while David Weekley Homes Tampa Division President Kristina Lloyd said the builder plans to offer homes on 40-, 50- and 60-foot homesites.
