One Liners Polk: Aldi, BayCare Health System and more

Real estate investor, developer and operator Crescent Communities, in partnership with Native Development Group, closed on the land and commenced construction on the Lakeland North Business Center, a 299,241-square-foot speculative industrial facility in Lakeland.

► Watson Clinic added Paula S. Wibowo, a registered nurse practitioner who works alongside board-certified gastroenterologist Victor C. Nwakakwa at the Watson Clinic main location at 1600 Lakeland Hills Blvd., Lakeland.

► Aldi will take over the Winn-Dixie retail space at 1050 N. Wilson Ave., Bartow.

► Michael Ward, a licensed physical therapist in the orthopedic surgery and sports medicine department at Watson Clinic Highlands in Lakeland, earned his certification as an orthopedic clinic specialist.

► Webber International, in Babson Park, will start its fall term with a new bachelor’s degree program under a new department, the College of Health Professions and Sciences. 

Lakeland has been awarded Level I accreditation, by the ArbNet Arboretum Accreditation Program and The Morton Arboretum, for achieving particular standards of professional practices deemed important for arboreta and botanic gardens.

► BayCare Health System expanded to Lakeland with its first urgent care clinic in the city at the Southgate Shopping Center, 2645 S. Florida Ave.

Ahe Lewis Friend Farm was recently brokered by advisers at SVN/Saunders Ralston Dantzler, based in Lakeland, for $5.2 million.

► Platform Art and Bonnet Springs Park, in Lakeland, will add an installation of the Sound Sculpture at Bonnet Springs Park.

For the third consecutive three-year term Watson Clinic, in Lakeland, achieved certificates of recognition as a Patient-Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance, a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health care quality.
