Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle and Super Bowl champion Ndamukong Suh has sold a vacant waterfront property in South Tampa for $5.5 million, three years after buying it for $5 million. The property at 5028 W Leona Street had also been marketed as the site of a proposed $14.5 million luxury mansion.
The roughly 0.38-acre lot sits at the end of a cul-de-sac in Madsen Isles, a waterfront enclave in South Tampa’s Belmar Shores neighborhood, with unobstructed views across Tampa Bay. Protected by a concrete seawall, the property was listed for $6.495 million before the sale.
A separate offering featured plans for a 10,523-square-foot mansion with seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, an eight-car garage, swimming pool and private dock. Buyers could purchase the land separately or customize the proposed home, which remains unbuilt.
The Toni Everett Company marketed the property through agents Eric Panico and Kenneth Allen. Plans for the land under its new ownership have not been announced.
