Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay will mark its 60th anniversary with a celebration on March 6, at the JW Marriott Water Street Tampa, recognizing individuals who helped shape the organization. The event will honor business and community leaders as Diamond Laureates, recognizing their contributions to financial literacy, career readiness and entrepreneurship education for students in the region.
Honorees include:
Pam Muma, a longtime supporter and the naming sponsor of JA BizTown, which has served more than 250,000 students, since opening in 2006.
Alex Sink, former Florida chief financial officer, who led efforts to establish the Bill Poe Family Junior Achievement Campus, home to JA BizTown and JA Finance Park.
Bob Sharp, former AAA board chairman, who has been involved with Junior Achievement for more than 45 years.
Gus Stavros (honored posthumously), who was instrumental in developing Enterprise Village, now known as JA BizTown.
Michael D. Robertson, former senior vice president at Bright House Networks, who helped expand Junior Achievement programs.
John Tomlin, chief executive officer of Tomlin St. Cyr Real Estate Services, a supporter of JA Finance Park and a longtime Junior Achievement leader.
Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay has served more than 1.5 million students over six decades. In the 2023-‘24 school year, its programs reached more than 46,000 students.
