Stoneweg U.S., based in St. Petersburg, announced the sale of Tuscan Reserve Apartments, the company’s first development project located in Palm Coast, with a sales price of $32.75 million.

Three Birds Tavern

Robin and Jack King, owners of Three Birds Tavern, in St. Petersburg, for more than twelve years, are retiring and selling the business to local hospitality professionals John and Haley Ruetz.

The Pinellas Education Foundation received a $100,000 grant from JPMorgan Chase to fund teacher externships at local businesses.

Icon Central, a residential tower in downtown St. Petersburg, sold to Camden Property Trust, based in Houston, for a reported $149 million.

St. Petersburg’s First Home Bank hired Bob Sanders, previously with Regions Bank, to help oversee its residential mortgage division in the Tampa Bay area.

The Edge Eatery is set to open in December.

The Edge Eatery, a restaurant concept featuring three food counters, is expected to open in December, at 1572 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, in the Edge District.

Cynthia Johnson was named director of Pinellas County Economic Development.

Jon Jennings was selected to become the new city manager of Clearwater, taking over the position the late Bill Horne held for over 20 years.

Marcus & Millichap announced the sale of Unity 4 Pinellas Portfolio, a seven-property portfolio consisting of 68 total units, on 2.97 acres of land in Clearwater, Dunedin and St. Petersburg, for $8.8 million.

The Metro, a seven-story, 100-unit apartment complex, broke ground at First Avenue North and 11th Street North.

Cushman & Wakefield arranged the acquisition of the Tampa Bay Times Manufacturing and Distribution Center, in St. Petersburg, for $21 million.

Moffitt Cancer Center, along with United Insurance Holdings Corp. and TPA Group, submitted an offer to purchase the 4.59 acre site, at 800 Second Ave. S., in order to develop a mixed-use project that would include a cancer care center, a future headquarters building for UPC, a residential building and a public parking garage.

Kelly Jackson

Vertical Ventures named long-time employee Kelly Jackson a co-owner and managing partner.

Options Medical Weight Loss opened at 10500 Ulmerton Road, Suite 726, Largo.

Tampa Bay Watch, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection and restoration of marine life, promoted Dwayne Virgint, former executive director of the Tampa Bay Watch Discovery Center, to chief executive officer.

The Tampa Bay Innovation Center, in St. Petersburg, named Greg Nagel as its first director of development.
