The city of St. Petersburg announced two leadership position changes, with the promotion of Brian Caper to director of economic and workforce development and the hiring of Celeste Davis as director of arts, culture and tourism.

Fortu

Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco counties received a $500,000 challenge grant from the Hough Family Foundation. 

Anne-Marie Russell, the former executive director of Architecture Sarasota, has been named interim executive director of the Museum of Fine Arts St. Petersburg. 

Fortu, a pan-Asian inspired steakhouse, will move into the Ponce de Leon Hotel, at 95 Central Ave., replacing Ceviche, which is relocating to 332 Beach Drive. 

Adelphi Trust hosted representatives of the Florida Office of Financial Regulation at its offices, in St. Petersburg, to mark receipt of its trust charter.

Kahwa Coffee Roasters, based in St. Petersburg, is now franchising throughout the United States. 

Atlanta-based Hooters, whose original franchise is in Clearwater, has inked University of South Florida offensive linemen Demetris Harris, Mike Lofton, Brad Cecil and Cole Best to name, image and likeness deals.

Lauren Sweat

St. Petersburg resident Lauren Sweat, who recently was promoted to sales strategy and operations manager for Sysco, was announced as the 2022 Sysco Pinnacle award winner, an internal honor for an associate because of performance, impact and leadership. 

Cushman & Wakefield announced that the commercial real estate services firm has arranged the sale of Park West at Gateway, a three-building industrial property totaling 133,694 square feet, in Pinellas Park, for $24.5 million. 

Tom Brady’s fitness company, TB12, and its nonprofit, TB12 Foundation, are partnering with Pinellas County Schools and the Pinellas Education Foundation on a curriculum redesign that will emphasize increased health and wellness for students. 

Empath Health, in Clearwater, named Christy Hendricks as general counsel and chief mission legal officer.

The California-based wing brand Epic Wings plans opened at the Tri-City Plaza Shopping Center at 5300 E Bay Drive, in Clearwater.
