Virage Bayshore Tower opens to first residents

Construction on the 24-story Virage condominium tower, on Bayshore Boulevard in Tampa, is now complete and residents have started moving in.

Sixty-nine of the 71 residences were pre-sold, representing more than $120 million in real estate, according to a statement.

“We are so proud of the construction team, for staying the course, in this challenging environment. They delivered an extraordinary tower on Bayshore Boulevard,” Jay Tallman, Principal of Ascentia Development Group, which built Virage in partnership with Batson-Cook Development Company, said in the statement. “Watching the first few residents move-in is an especially gratifying moment for us. We knew we were fortunate to have a wonderful site with such potential, and we are so happy our residents can begin moving in and making it their home.”

Residences in the tower range from $1 million to $5 million and most residences are from 2,400 square feet to 3,400 square feet. Every residence has a private elevator entrance, 10-foot ceilings and access to resort-style amenities such as an infinity-edge pool overlooking Bayshore, a wellness center, pet grooming facilities and a 24-hour staffed reception.

The top two floors each have a single penthouse residence, with 6,700 square feet of space and 360-degree views of Hillsborough Bay, South Tampa and Downtown Tampa.

Virage was designed by Tampa-based architecture firm Curts Gaines Hall Jones and Smith & Associates Real Estate is the exclusive listing broker.

CGHJ most recently did the design for Altura, another luxury condominium development planned near the intersection of Bayshore and Bay to Bay boulevards.

Development of Virage began in the Spring of 2016 and broke ground in November 2017.
