Pasadena set for 76 new homes just minutes from St. Pete Beach

A new coastal neighborhood called SeaWinds will bring 76 homes to Pasadena just minutes from St. Pete Beach.

Mattamy Homes is bringing a new coastal neighborhood to the Pasadena area of St. Petersburg.

The community is called SeaWinds, and it will offer a rare chance to buy new construction in a part of the city where new homes are limited.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2026. Sales and model home tours are expected to begin in the summer.

A rare new home option near the beaches

SeaWinds will include 76 homes with a mix of single-family homes and townhomes. The single-family homes will range from 2,156 to 2,357 square feet.

The first phase of townhomes will offer about 1,850 square feet of living space. Every home will include a private courtyard and a two-car garage. Future phases will bring the total number of townhomes to 56.

The location is 2.5 miles from Treasure Island Beach and St. Pete Beach. It gives residents quick access to the coast through a scenic causeway that is known for views of dolphins, manatees and coastal birds.

The community is also less than a mile from the 54-mile Pinellas Trail, which is one of the region’s most popular routes for walking and biking.

Designed for walkability and neighborhood character

Mattamy Homes designed SeaWinds with a traditional neighborhood approach that focuses on walkable streets and easy access to nearby retail and recreation.

The community is meant to blend into the surrounding Pasadena on the Gulf neighborhood, which is known for its brick streets, mature trees and historic character.

“SeaWinds is a natural fit for the vibrant area of St. Petersburg,” said Bob Meyn, president of Mattamy Homes’ Tampa Division. “This location combines vacation-style living with beautiful beaches, recreation and easy access to thriving local districts.”

Connected to recreation and major job centers

Residents will be able to spend time outdoors with quick access to kayaking, paddleboarding and boating.

The nearby causeway supports a steady flow of recreational activity and offers views of the water throughout the day.

Downtown St. Petersburg is six miles away, which supports an easy commute into Tampa, MacDill Air Force Base and Bradenton.

Mattamy Homes is the largest family-owned homebuilder in North America. The company operates in 11 U.S. markets and has a long history of creating walkable and connected communities across Florida.

SeaWinds introduces new housing supply in a coastal area where available land is limited.

The project meets rising demand for homes near the beaches while preserving the neighborhood’s character.
