Buddy Brew Coffee to open 10 cafés inside Sprouts stores

Buddy Brew Coffee plans 10 in-store cafés inside Sprouts locations across Tampa Bay.

Buddy Brew Coffee has entered a partnership with Sprouts Farmers Market to open 10 in-store cafés across Tampa Bay and Southwest Florida later this year.

The cafés will be located inside select Sprouts stores in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Sarasota counties.

The expansion marks Buddy Brew’s first café locations in Pinellas and Pasco and will more than double the company’s total number of cafés.

Specific store locations and opening dates have not been announced.

Buddy Brew CEO and co-founder Dave Ward said the partnership allows the Tampa-based coffee company to expand its reach while operating within an existing retail footprint.

“This partnership represents a meaningful evolution for Buddy Brew,” Ward said. “Working with Sprouts allows us to expand into new communities while maintaining our focus on quality and care.”

In-store cafés planned

Each café will offer Buddy Brew’s espresso drinks, cold brew, specialty beverages and food items.

The cafés will operate inside Sprouts stores, allowing customers to purchase coffee while shopping.

The in-store model reduces the need for standalone café construction and places the brand within high-traffic grocery locations.

Sprouts has not disclosed how many of its Florida stores will ultimately include Buddy Brew cafés beyond the initial 10.

Regional growth strategy

The Sprouts partnership introduces Buddy Brew cafés to new counties without expanding outside Florida.

Buddy Brew currently operates eight cafés statewide and roasts its coffee locally in Tampa.

The company said its sourcing and roasting operations will remain unchanged as the Sprouts cafés open.

Ward described the partnership as a “thoughtful” expansion that allows Buddy Brew to grow alongside a like-minded retailer while reaching new communities.

More locations ahead

Buddy Brew said additional details on café openings will be released later this year.

The company plans to announce individual store locations as buildouts progress.

For Buddy Brew, the Sprouts deal represents a shift toward grocery-based growth while keeping operations and production rooted in Tampa.
