KETTLER will deliver a 4,300-capacity music venue in Tampa’s Gasworx district, adding an entertainment anchor to the mixed-use project and expanding Ybor City’s live event infrastructure.
The venue, to be operated by Live Nation, is expected to open in late 2028 on North 15th Street near the planned marketplace, steps from the 7th Avenue entertainment corridor and a future TECO Streetcar stop.
The mid-size format targets touring acts that fall between club shows and arena concerts, a gap in Tampa’s venue mix.

“We’re proud to partner with KETTLER to bring this venue to life,” said Brittany Flores, Live Nation’s Florida market president. “This project is a meaningful investment in Tampa and its music scene, giving fans more shows close to home.”
The venue introduces a destination component to Gasworx as later phases expand beyond residential and office development.
Upon completion, the district is expected to include about 5,000 residences, more than 500,000 square feet of office space and 120,000 square feet of retail, anchored by a 28,000-square-foot marketplace opening in 2027.
The Stevedore, a 390-unit apartment community, opened this month and marks the second residential phase inside Gasworx, adding to La Unión Residences and Social Hall, a 317-unit building delivered in 2024.
Project estimates put annual economic impact at about $80 million, with roughly 440 jobs and $6 million in state and local tax revenue each year, tied to visitor spending at nearby restaurants, hotels and entertainment businesses.
“Ybor City has a distinct character and a long tradition of nightlife and live music,” said James Nozar, president of development at KETTLER. “Our goal is to create a venue that carries that legacy forward by adding a new destination for residents, visitors and artists.”
The design leans into Ybor City’s historic character, with a brick exterior, marquee lighting and a second-level balcony. Interior plans include a proscenium stage, modern sound and lighting systems and expanded backstage facilities aimed at attracting national touring acts.
The project expands Live Nation’s footprint in Tampa Bay as competition for touring acts intensifies across Florida.
A mid-capacity venue gives promoters the flexibility to book artists who bypass arenas but outgrow smaller clubs, a segment that is gaining importance as live entertainment demand rebounds.
Gasworx is a joint venture between KETTLER, developer Darryl Shaw and PPF Real Estate. The venue adds an entertainment component to a district built around residential and office development, extending activity into the nighttime economy.
