Home2 Suites by Hilton near the University of South Florida sold for $23.5 million.
The 106-room hotel sits a few minutes from USF’s future on-campus football stadium and operations center. The 35,000-seat project is scheduled to open in 2027 and has generated more than $210 million in contracts for Florida companies.
The hotel at 11606 McKinley Drive was acquired by a Sonari Capital Partners affiliate from a group of investors who had owned the property since 2018.
The Sonari affiliate financed the purchase with an $18.75 million loan from Live Oak Banking Co.

Built in 2017, the four-story hotel is near USF, Busch Gardens and Moffitt Cancer Center. The property last sold for $17.2 million in 2018, according to the Hillsborough County Property Appraiser.
Representatives of Sonari Capital Partners did not immediately respond to requests for comment on plans for the property.
