Texas western wear chain expands to Brandon

Cavender’s Boot City will open a 15,000-square-foot store in Brandon on Sept. 25, giving the Texas-based western wear retailer its third location in Florida.

The store will carry boots, hats, jeans, shirts, dresses, belts, accessories, work boots and apparel for men, women and children.

Merchandise will include brands such as Ariat, Wrangler, Resistol and Stetson, along with Cavender’s private-label lines. The location will also offer boot fitting, hat shaping, and boot stretching.

Cavender’s was founded in 1965 by James and Patricia Cavender in Pittsburg, Texas, and has grown from a single store into a chain of more than 130 locations across 18 states.

The Brandon store will join locations in Ocala and Jacksonville.
