Sarasota Motor Club plans to convert a former drone manufacturing and warehouse building north of downtown Sarasota into a private club with storage for as many as 90 luxury, exotic and collector cars.
The project, proposed for 1060 Goodrich Ave. and 1716 10th Way, would stack most of the vehicles on 29 three-level racks. The approximately 21,320-square-foot ground floor would be used primarily for vehicle storage, with about 3,735 square feet set aside for club facilities. A roughly 4,000-square-foot mezzanine would add dining and lounge space.
Plans also call for a commercial kitchen, private dining and conference rooms, wine lockers, racing and golf simulators and event space. Sarasota Motor Club expects approximately 200 members and 15 employees, with seating for 110 people indoors, 32 outdoors and 16 in a private dining room. The club’s website says the event space also would be available to the public for corporate events, charity fundraisers and automotive showcases.
Members also would have access to a rotating fleet of luxury and exotic vehicles through a points-based program connected to Sarasota Luxury Car Rentals. The club’s website advertises vehicles including a Lamborghini Urus, Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II, Bentley Bentayga and Porsche 911, with reservations available through the club’s app. The club also advertises climate-controlled vehicle storage and concierge vehicle management.
Suncoast Equity LLC, managed by Scott Stevenson, owns both properties. The project requires minor conditional-use approval and site-plan review, with the filing targeting summer 2027 for completion.
Neither the filings nor the club’s website disclose membership fees, vehicle-storage rates or the project’s construction cost.
