Construction is underway on 362 new SeaFlower apartments, part of the sprawling mixed-use community taking shape in West Bradenton, about three miles from Anna Maria Island.
Bradenton-based NDC Construction broke ground on The Fields at SeaFlower, a new apartment community within the development’s roughly 400-acre first phase, south of Cortez Road and west of 75th Street West. The project will bring one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments to a growing neighborhood that already has homes, parks and trails, with a Publix-anchored shopping and dining center also planned.
The new apartments will come with a clubhouse, fitness center, yoga room, swimming pool, outdoor kitchen, pickleball courts and dog park. Residents will also be able to rent single-car garages, while dedicated trailer parking will accommodate jet skis, a nod to the community’s proximity to the Gulf Coast.

Pre-leasing is expected to begin in summer 2027, although NDC has not announced when construction will be completed or how much the apartments will cost to rent.
NDC Construction is working with NDC Development and NDC Asset Management on the project, bringing the companies responsible for building, developing and managing the property into the planning process together.
Jason Bartz, NDC Construction’s vice president of business operations, said the arrangement allows the team to make construction decisions with the long-term operation of the apartments in mind.
“We bring development and asset management expertise into construction decisions from the start, so we understand both what it takes to build a community and what it takes to operate and maintain it in perpetuity,” Bartz said.
The Fields will become part of SeaFlower’s larger development, which is being built around a mix of residential neighborhoods, recreation areas and commercial space. Plans for the community include the SeaFlower Village Center, a Publix-anchored destination with restaurants, shops, offices and neighborhood services, along with the resident-only Garden Club amenity.
NDC Construction, headquartered in Bradenton, has operated in Florida since 1997 and completed more than 275 projects across the state. Its work spans multifamily housing, schools, public safety facilities, municipal infrastructure and athletic and cultural venues.
